Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need weekly service, or can I do Bi-Weekly?

A: Weekly service is strongly recommended for several reasons,

  1. It keeps the chemistry more evenly balanced without heavy swings.
  2. Debris removal is less time-consuming and therefore the per-visit charge is less.  It also does not allow more time for the debris to breakdown and cause problems.
  3. We are more likely to spot and address equipment and leak issues if we see your pool weekly.
Q: Can I stop or suspend pool service in the colder or winter months?

A: Weekly service, even thru the winter, is highly recommended partly due to the reasons listed above for weekly or Bi-weekly service answers.  It also is highly recommended due to the number of leaves and debris that occur during the fall and winter months as most of the trees in south Louisiana shed their leaves during this time.  Weekly service during this time also ensures that you will not have the long and expensive turnaround time in spring when your ready to enjoy your pool again.

Q: What do you charge for pool maintenance?

A: The basic plans are done on a “Per Visit” basis.  The charge per visit varies depending on several factors (i.e Size of the pool, yard access, number of trees, etc..)  Currently, the range for per-visit charges is $35 – $75 the average customer spends between $190-$250 per month for our services.  Pool chemicals are billed as used based on our weekly water tests.  Pool Chemical prices are always given at the time of the estimate and updated as needed.

Q: Can I provide my own chemicals for my pool?

A: Yes you can absolutely purchase and store your own chemicals.

Q: How am I billed for pool service?

A: We bill at the end of the service month for our weekly maintenance packages.  We keep your service day the same each week except for bad weather days.  On the last service day of that month, an invoice is generated and emailed to your preferred email.  You can always add a card on file for convenience or choose to enter your card each time.  We do apply a 3% fee for CC transactions.

Q: I work a lot, how can I be sure someone has come to actually clean my pool?

A: Well, usually the pool will speak for itself when it’s dirty everyone will know.  But we also employ 21st-century technology in the form of an industry-leading app called Skimmer.  Skimmer helps us to keep track of service appts, chemicals, and cleanings.  Skimmer forces the technician to take a photo of their completed work and will not allow them to close the job until it’s taken.  It also uses Google map tech so the photo has to be time and location stamped at your address.  This information is then sent directly to your email for your records.

Q: Will my bill be the same each month?

A: The answer depends on whether or not you supply your own chemicals.  If you do then the answer is yes the service portion will be consistent with the number of visits to your pool per month.  If we supply the chemicals then the bill will fluctuate especially in the summer when the sun is out longer and is higher overhead.  Sunlight contains UV rays and UV rays break down chlorine in pools so when the sun is out longer it breaks down more chlorine than when it is not.  So the bills will fluctuate based on chemical usage.
